Hi @Trizek-WMF!
thank you for starting this new conversation. It seems to be promising. :)
First of all, thank you! :)
Yes, the conversation is really seeming promising: I started working on the last translations and I prepared two configuration files that reflect our community needs; I also created a page that should contain the "manual" mentors' list. After when this task was started, you added several new special pages (such as the mentor dashboard): do I need to provide you with some aliases?

You don't want automatic resolution if your comment will seem redundant to people who read the conversation later.

I'm using this tool for a while, and I find very annoying noticing edit conflicts just after when the edit has been published.

The idea of warning newcomers about when they make an error is something I've talked about with the product manager of the Editing team, @ppelberg. Your bot sends a talk page message after the user completes the edit. Do you think (hypothetically) that it would be better for the newcomer if they could be warned before saving the edit? This is the idea we've been talking about.

For your information, English Wikipedia has agreed to start a trial time. 2% of newcomers will have access to the Growth team tools. Volunteer mentors will take care of these newcomers. The goal is to check if the features are fitting existing workflows and procedures. Maybe a similar trial would interest Italian Wikipedia? Let me know!

Below is how the team is currently thinking about the prospect of surfacing the grammatical gender a person has explicitly set in Special:Preferences in the Reply Tool's helper text [I]

This is great, let me just point out, in response to the first consideration, that in many languages there are no ways to use gender-neutral language; an example could be Italian.

By the way, I often need this information in English, when I want to mention someone in third person (she/he/they), although the “Reply to…” message is probably not the best place to get it from.

The features work for all editors. However, we privilege the visual editor, since it now stable, and also much easier for newbies who don't need to learn the wiki code. Learning wikicode adds a difficulty to edit; if shouldn't be forgotten that newcomers will have to deal with it later in their journey. If the visual editor creates major bugs on the Italian Wikipedia we are not aware of, let me know. Can you tell me who wrote these two comments?
Concerning edits suggested to newcomer son the homepage, I'm really surprised to read this feedback. The features are completely aligned with the editing dynamics: you select a page you want to edit and then you edit it. We are just helping newcomers to find things to do, and we offer some guidance so that they can understand what's going on, and what to achieve. And the make real edits that have impact.
Regarding mentorship, it is better to have someone ready to reply to your questions than being alone struggling when you start editing. Having mentors ready to help will definitely help more editors than have no mentor. :)

Hi, a list of all articles without wikilinks is Speciale:PagineSenzaUscita. Template W is often used in those cases, but it indicates all articles that need to be formatted according to standards, so not just links.
