The migration of the main and -en channels is complete. Looking into what is still remaining to be moved now.

VRT Wiki has been updated with the new channels. However, our ACLs still need to be carefully copied over after vetting each user.

As I have not received a response with the requested info, I'm going to be unable to process this request until someone can get back to me.

@Rfarrand I'll reach out to you via email today to get the info needed by freenode. Thanks.

I'll need the name, email address, IRC nickname of a person we can contact in case of abuse, expected maximum number of simultaneous connections and the dates of the event.

Got another email stating that puppet is now failing on tools-sgeexec-0905.tools.eqiad.wmflabs as well, so updating phab title.

Appears to have been resolved by T216370.
Have they added the whole range or just that NAT IP?
If they've just added the NAT IP, I expect problems will resume if the tools exec nodes get given floating IPs?

I've contacted freenode to see about resolving the issue in the short term (can't say for certain they'll agree to set the i:line or not), but long term we do need a better solution.... optimally as suggested above we'll need to see about having an ident daemon running so that each individual user with access will have a unique identity for them or their bots.
@Petrb Please see the comment by Framawiki for how to securely send this to me.

Please give me a heads up once the IP range has been defined so I can get this over to our team at freenode for processing.

I'll work with freenode on my end to facilitate this

So is this still an ongoing issue for anyone?

I reached out to Fae yesterday with the following information:
3:38:06 PM <@AlexZ> Fae: ya, there is currently a ban on unregistered users across Wikimedia channels due to the still-ongoing spambot bombardment.
3:38:53 PM <@AlexZ> Might of been a slight transition when you logged in

The rangeban 179.7.* has now been removed by the local es ops, please let me know if you encounter any other issues.
I believe most of those channels inherit the ban list from #wikipedia-es-ops. We would still need to know a specific IP address to see which range ban there is causing the problem.
It looks like a number of bans on that channel are inherited from #wikipedia-es-ops, I would need to know what IP you are connecting from and your IRC nickname to in order to remove one that might be affecting you or other users.

Yeah, at one point it appears the language there was changed from en to fa for fawiki's elections, but likely could be changed back now.

Re-opening this after consulting with RD, I'm uploading a version of this file that has been optimized for the login screen. Please replace the current file in SysConfig Framework -> Frontend::Agent > AgentLoginLogo to this one.
Re-opening this after consulting with RD and coming up with a new and improved version of the background. Please upload this and replace the one that is currently there.

I've removed you from the role and reset the password for the list. Due to the large volume of mail that alias receives, it goes into a separate list administration filter in my inbox which caused me to miss your initial email.
