I was able to restore all of the gifts that came from engage but if I run the same search going back to 1/1/2016 there are about 282 contacts in the trash. Not sure how we would go through these to see which ones need to be restored.

@Eileenmcnaughton You ARE the best. It works great. I tested it a few times with different civi records.
@Eileenmcnaughton Yes! I added the contact ID back into the block we originally wanted it to live in. Have been able to edit the other field around it without issue.
@Eileenmcnaughton Yes! I have tested it out on a few profiles (individual and org) and it looks great. I think we can wait for the fix as no one has really caught it besides me.
@Eileenmcnaughton Yes I can confirm those are each individual issues we've encountered
- I created a separate block for the ID to live with the contact source since these are things that do not change
- yes - also no biggie but we lost the ability to have color coded tags :(
- yes - I have also removed the current employer from the custom block we were using and am now relying on the Key relationships block - only issue is that it is not right next to the Job Title field
- YES
@Eileenmcnaughton I've moved things around a little on the contact screen to accommodate for the time being. I think the most important thing for us was not so much that it was at the top but that the original screen allowed the fields "current employer" to be grouped with "job title"

@Eileenmcnaughton Sorry to tack on more to this task but is there a way to fix this?
I am editing the Prospect field Next Steps from the Summary Screen and cannot seem to get it just to show me the text I inserted.
@Eileenmcnaughton I spoke too soon. I still can't edit tags. Also, if I enter an employer on the summary screen and save The relationship then appears as both Current and Inactive at the same time.
@Eileenmcnaughton That makes sense! Thanks for figuring that out. It seems to be working for me now. I just added another block that contains only the Contact ID since like you said it's not editable.

@Eileenmcnaughton Correct we would want this optional for individuals as well.

@Eileenmcnaughton it's been working great for me! For the last three imports I went back and double checked the file created with new contacts and did not find any that should have been merged - they were also pretty small to begin with though.
@LeanneS Is there anything else you think we should be testing before this gets closed?

@Eileenmcnaughton yes! Thanks again for your help
@Eileenmcnaughton Much appreciated! I've removed the #N/A suffix from all of these listed.

I've corrected the contacts with the missing addresses. However, @Eileenmcnaughton is there anyway to pull contacts with #N/A as the suffix to just be sure? I couldn't figure out how to search for these contacts.
Jan 31 2018
@Eileenmcnaughton I corrected most of them. Let me find some time today to do another once over and manually enter any that I missed initially. I'll get back to you though about maybe helping me make sure I got them all. Will keep you posted!

@Eileenmcnaughton I just noticed as well that information like the "Do Not email" are marked on those that had a "Y" in the AC flag column so it makes sense that the columns were probably just pushed down one. While the import file appears correct all I can think is that I must have made a change at some point that I later corrected when doing the merges.

I am looking at what I've imported recently and it looks like it is just
that file. I'm betting it is as you said mismatched columns. @ LeanneS
I'll update the contacts

@Eileenmcnaughton Sorry for the delay! I have definitely noticed a decrease in dupes. I say we're good to close.
