Add the Eastern Pwo language to the list of languages found in languages/data/Names.php, and then add a file in languages/messages/ that gives information on how to treat the language (such as the fallback language and directionality). This is important so that MediaWiki knows what languages are available and how to handle them. This is a change in MediaWiki core, and the Wikipedia article on Eastern Pwo would be useful. There is no prerequisite knowledge needed for this task.

Seems to be thoroughly fixed now. T203873 will re-generate audio that is of lesser quality.

There isn't anything related to VisualEditor here.
No, it was expected; https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/458910 fixes the problem, the previous patch fixed half of it.

@dbenjaminmiller: In a few hours, some of the lingering problems should be solved. Pages may need to be purged for the effect.
In fact, we are deprecating the use of TiMidity++ in favour of Fluidsynth. The former is obsolete (may get removed), and all new (or modified) sheet music uses Fluidsynth now. Soon all old .ogg files will be re-generated.
I knew this was going to happen! People are using the <score tag not for sheet music, but for MIDI->OGG conversion. Created a check for a zero/null value for length to resolve this.
Where is the score coming from on that page? The metadata file is messed up: https://upload.wikimedia.org/score/q/b/qb4tlxyr3jtipjmnko0hbntou4dcsm4/qb4tlxyr.json and there is no score.

Check out https://github.com/grame-cncm/libmusicxml as a promising project to do the conversion.

As fluidsynth is now in puppet and the comments above, think this can be set as resolved.

C'est une coïncidence que cette tache était créée le jour de déploiement de la solution (déjà fait). Si le lecteur ne se montre pas, il faudra vider le cache (en ajoutant ?action=purge à l'URL.
@Hsarrazin: Quelques heures.
Merci @Patachonf !

As there is a similar function for ABC conversion, this task could be easier. I'd be willing to mentor this task if someone wishes to do it.

Another thing is that the ogg length is always around a second longer than the actual audio, which for short scores is a bit annoying.

Can't really think of a proper way for partitions to "re-flow" to fit its allotted space. Your way of changing the paper size (or to use the LilyPond command \break) would still be needed. All the instruments that are supported in LilyPond are listed here. The bug T199356: Contrabass MIDI instrument is unusable was created for the missing instrument.

Sorry, I was not aware of this task until I got pinged.

@Huji: The solution proposed was to "put the text in double quotes, then even right-to-left scripts will be displayed correctly."

Thank you, it seemed to be a T183205 problem; the ssh only worked with
lowercase ebe123.
Can't save my preferences as my ssh key is already there (and has worked
for Gerrit in the past)
Yes.

There is no point in using the PostScript (or the encapsulated variety) for score generation, and it would be bad in terms of storage and performance (more conversions or engravings). The PDF download of pages should be enough, and its limitations are discussed, with plans to improve, in T181322: Improve Score's HTML output so PDF export can render music scores natively, i.e. not as images. As such, this task is declined. Doing the PDF engraving yourself would also give you options that would be more suitable for you rather than optimized for MediaWiki.

There does not seem to be, however automatic badges were in the task for creating the Badges application: https://secure.phabricator.com/T6526, but were not added it seems (and the task is closed)

Haven't really looked at this task until now. To answer the couple suggestions:
A solution would be to encode all the data in the tag, but that would not be preferable as it would cause huge tags.
The use of the raw parameter is recommended for music in uncommon notations. Using that attribute allows for more complex features and total control over the output, as nothing is provided. I do not think this merits an attribute of its own, as did T49604: Score should support note names in other languages.
Explains why it works on Vagrant. Is there a way to test/fix?
May 31 2018
This is odd; the download attribute does not seem to have an effect (in either Chrome or Safari).

SVG will be available through T49578. This wouldn't be necessary anymore with SVG.
Per @rosalieper.
May 21 2018
Would there be a preferable name? There is not necessarily any descriptive naming information in the source or the <score tag. At least with the hash the related files can be easily paired.
May 20 2018
Reported upstream: https://sourceforge.net/p/testlilyissues/issues/5325/ . It is a bit odd to have RTL text in a LTR musical partition.

About the length of the audio, it is read off a metadata file, of which I am trying to reduce the use of. It is not being read by Skeleton for each request. That bug was already filed: T49533 (why we use the metadata file here)
It might be due to the audio not being as a MediaWiki UnregisteredFile (or more appropriate class) and using FSFileBackend. As a test of this hypothesis, when override_audio is set, it does not take long, suggesting it is a(nother) problem with using TimedMediaTransformOutput, which takes the URL of the file. It is not caused by the fix to T148716, as the scores do take significantly longer than proper files when both are on the same page. Correct me if I've got to a false conclusion however.

When using a pp for 7.2 then enabling the phabricator module, vagrant provision fails:
==> default: Error: /usr/local/bin/mwscript createAndPromote.php --wiki='wiki' 'Admin' 'vagrant' returned 255 instead of one of [0] ==> default: Error: /Stage[main]/Mediawiki/Mediawiki::User[admin_user_in_steward_suppress_on_wiki]/Mediawiki::Maintenance[mediawiki_user_Admin_wiki]/Exec[mediawiki_user_Admin_wiki]/returns: change from notrun to 0 failed: /usr/local/bin/mwscript createAndPromote.php --wiki='wiki' 'Admin' 'vagrant' returned 255 instead of one of [0]
Could you paste an example please? Would \override #'(text-direction . -1) work?
