Instead of doing a lot of work to get access to different newspapers one by one, I suggest to try to get access to Factiva or Nexis, because these databases include thousands of newspapers worldwide! I taught a new user how to prepare new articles in the personal sandbox and then publish them.
Searching afterwoods with Google showed the sandbox page with her username.
The new user didn't like that at all.
So I fear that she will not continue because of that...

In the meantime I found out, that I can test the ContentTranslationTool, even en-de, on beta (http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/Special:ContentTranslation). And as second reason, I haven't the nerves for a long discussion with the German community - I hope you understand ;-)
I made my first translation with the tool right now and published the new article in German :-)
