Don't know if it's helpful, but according to the image optimization paragraph inside the mobile section of this link https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpagebanner.wmflabs.org%2Fwiki%2FRoppongi&tab=mobile it says that it could be saved 99% of the information transfered between server and client.
I suppose that the reason can be found on the fact that it download this file https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6c/Ladakh_banner.jpg instead of a pre-resized version of it, for the small screen of a mobile.

I agree with valhallasw. If no one is currently take care about the log error file, it's better to turn it off, as a temporary patch. Once the cause of the rows written in it has been found and corrected, it could be turn on again.

Candalua, thanks for highlighting it, I haven't checked MediaWiki:Recentchangestext in the above three mentioned examples. In this case, all the pages do not consider Wikidata anymore.

Now I think I've got it. The problem occurs when logged in.
I've just tried with FF unlogged and the page is regularly shown, but after the login the page turn blank.

I've tried with Chrome 43 on a laptop with Windows 7 and with Safari on an iPad.

I've just noticed that the above problem occurs on Chrome and Safari but on FF and IE8 works correctly.

Is shown a blank page instead of the regular registration one (try to follow the links above)

The discussion held 2 years ago is not anymore valid, because as vituzzo said, the users who started that discussion are not anymore within the project and because most of the features installed by thoese users have been removed afterwards, wasting time of the community and of phabricator.

TTO, I've just tried to import a module, and I've experienced a strange behaviour. The imported page were treated (in visualization) as a normal wikipage, while editing it was ok.
Because of this, it doesn't show the header sentence "La documentazione per questo modulo può essere creata in Modulo:No globals/man" that allow an easy access to the documentation.
To restore the correct visualization I've deleted the page and I've created it again trhough a copy and paste. This time everything was fine.
Could you check it?

TTO today a user has imported two pages on it:voy, but unfortunately it seems that the bug has "changed its behaviour" :-)

So MediaWiki:Wikimedia-copyrightwarning in each project should be deleted (like the one mentioned in the first post added by Philippe (WMF)? In the affirmative a steward should take care about it.

Image description, more than image selection, are not objective data, so it should stay in the specific project.
FYI descriptions are managed by en:voy articles, although are not used by a big part of them.

On https://it.wikivoyage.org we store the banner locally without using the one on wikidata because we add a description for each banner, so we can't allow that the image will be changed from wikidata. We just have a category that list the articles that have a different local banner from the one on wikidata in order to discuss about its change.

Nemo, few language versions have customized it. For example ru:voy has removed the GFDL licence from that warning.
So my doubt is: do we have to adopt the same licence (i.e. align the wording in those file), or it's fine that each version shows different licence?

I've just noticed that the copyright warning on en:voy is different from the ones in other language versions (it:voy, de:voy, fr:voy, etc...).

According to the @TheDJ comment on bug T13782, I've reopened this bug because it's not a duplicate.

@TheDJ, in this case T55991 has been wrongly marked as a duplicate. I'll move the above comment on the other bug, and maybe there I'd like to continue the discussion.

Schnark, with bug T68867 it has been requested to run periodically the updateArticleCount.php for the Wikivoyage project (although it has been selected a wierd date for a monthly script, considering that February will have 29 days only once in 4 years :-D).

Hi Nemo, are you sure that it works? I've just made a check on es:voy (where I know that they have recently experienced a counting problem), and I've found the following numbers:

• Pages (from stats): 4.090
• NS:0 count: 2.390 (including 555 redirect)

The page count can be easily reset but in any case, the patch of TTO must be reviewed and implemented asap to (potentially) avoid that it would happen again.

Once implemented the patch already submitted by Ricordisamoa, could be taken into consideration the use of a more friendly magic word.

Bug 45269 it's solved but not the other. I agree on weekly run also for https://it.wikivoyage.org and the other language version, until all the page count bugs have been completely solved.
