I'm very aware of the fact that Captions isn't ideal for alt texts, but it's better then only having the file name or no alt text at all.

@Ottomata I see, I think the current SDC Captions implementations should behave very much as Labels on Wikidata. I'm currently not able to edit captions on beta. But one should soonish be able to do so at any file page:
(random file page, see the captions section): https://commons.wikimedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/File:Hermann_von_Wedigh_III_(died_1560)_MET_DP164836.jpg

For me the example behaves as expected (maybe the zoom is a bit off):

@Yurik not successfully, but the regex itself should match single characters.
@Yurik this issue is resolved right? The RegEx now present in Sources.sourceIdReStr seams to handle one character ids fine.

Duplicate of T157712, with the dependency linked through kartotherian/module-loader?

@Reniervdg you can solve this by making sure the name column in your spreadsheet ends with the expected file extension, in this case .tif. This is required by Pattypan when uploading from URL.
Dec 11 2017
@Reniervdg are you using a custom build of Pattypan? Uploading by URL has not landed in a release yet...

@Aklapper the project it self, has no project here but on Github, added it to my personal board for convenience(having my Wikimedia related tasks in one place).

@yuvipanda when creating a "Bash" notebook it seams like it sometimes causes other files in the same folder to be deleted. I have not been able to reproduce it but it has happened "randomly" twice.

Great! If T172248 gets done one might need to update the list otherwise it should be valid.
If you use the wlm-fmi-imageless.txt provided below as origin you can skip checking for Antikvarisk bedömning and Skadestatus.

@Ainali my bad, the number is 142 672 items without images in the WLM database.
140 000 items without images in the WLM compared to 900 000 items without images in FMIS.

I'm interpreting this as two issues:

@Dvorapa when you use passwords on PAWS I believe they are public to all PAWS users.
@Dvorapa you need to add a user-config.py file to your root directory see the following file as an example. That should be all needed for authentication on PAWS.

@yuvipanda I tracked this down to the following line in the ipynb-paws repository:
url_segment = '/'.join([s.replace('_', ' ') for s in parts]) + '.ipynb?format=raw'
I'm able to reproduce this.

You can achieve this using wget and paws-public.wmflabs.org:

I have not been able to find this issue in the upstream bug tracker.

You could look into auto generated docs, it would make methods discoverable but it would be hard to connect the dots between the addwiki libs.
