This appears removed.
Change #1214513 had a related patch set uploaded (by Jelto; author: Jelto):
[operations/puppet@production] gitlab-runners hiera: remove custom MTU
I can confirm that this works on testwiki.
Change #1214507 abandoned by Jelto:
[operations/puppet@production] devtools hiera: set gitlab::runner::docker set MTU to 1450
Reason:
not needed anymore
@Nardog this is pretty disruptive as it breaks the link trail of gerrit, deploy references and release notes. It is perfectly fine for more specific or followup tasks to branch off from this task, but what you did is the opposite of that.
This could even have been done before any work was committed to the ticket but to do it afterwards is really not how we do this generally.
Ok, the problem was that I used 127.0.0.1 and not localhost - I wonder though why our tests care? Lets check later and move on with the measuring.

Ok down to two type of errors now:
mpic.discovery.wmnet is showing as non-reachable for ping as well as for a request such as, for example, https://mpic.discovery.wmnet:30443/api/v1/experiments?authority=varnish&format=config, from the tool bastion under tool user tk (the ID used for wmftkbot). Also, it appears if trying to run it via the k8s infrastructure that the jobs run from, same unreachability issue.

We talked about this in a larger round and decided to make it behave the same as when saving the page, i.e. nothing is inserted. This is necessary because there is usually no content to insert in place of the […] placeholder.

Bumping priority to high, since filtering access logs by x-trusted-request is on the critical path for work on api rate limiting.

We talked about this in a larger round and decided to do this in two steps:
- We change the button so it replaces the entire ref, as discussed above.
- Later we will learn if and which edge cases exist for replacing only the sub-ref and how to solve these problems. This is out of scope for this ticket here.

After merging the default settigns patch above I went through all grafana.wmcloud.org dashboards and changed the few non-UTC ones to use the default (which is now UTC). There were some in browser time, and a few ones hardcoded to CET for some reason(?).
Is the whole topic about registering from a problematic IP?
Or is it a common requirement now for new accounts to provide a valid e-mail so to answer to a verification email from there?
I have read the whole thread but still unclear.
