2 comments about the icon:
- I agree with Iniquity's comment and proposed alternative-icon above at T319449#8405057 - I think re-using the "full-screen" icon is non-optimal and potentially confusing.
- I wonder if the icon could have an opaque background, so that if it does overlap with other content (perhaps due to someone using User.css to further adjust the widths), then that content doesn't show through from behind. E.g. Because of my condensed-whitespace user.css, I see this:

@SimoneThisDot I had another idea for when there are no interwiki links. we can have the first quick view open by default. I know this ticket is already done so something I can include in a new ticket. Just wanted to hear thoughts on the idea if anyone has any.

It was mentioned in Tech/News/2022/45 3 weeks ago as being on the testwikis.
We do try to keep entries limited to those that are of interest to a very large number of readers/projects. (Rough inclusion criteria here)
We do also informally try to avoid too many repetitions of news about a specific thing. 1 or 2 is ideal, limiting any more to only major new changes.
