Hi @Abit - can you please provide approval for me on this task as my manager? I need this in order to see the visual editor Media Search analytics. Thanks!

whether it's worthwhile to explore tools that make adding images to wikidata itself easier.

I hereby comment that @CBogen's request is appropriate and she needs access to this data to analyze search data for SDAW metrics and MediaSearch feature development; please give her access ;)

Per @Tgr 's comment above, declining for now.

After a glance through today, it looks good to me on mobile web with only one exception - that template mentioned in T247702 which is used in the 2019–20_coronavirus_pandemic#Epidemiology section. See feedback in T111565#5913602
@Volker_E is the COVID 19 article readable on screenreaders?
fwiw this seems to be working for me on desktop now. @Jdlrobson can we close this bug?
@iamjessklein @ppelberg, should we expect this to be part of our immediate covid response work? if so, do you all need additional capacity to answer these questions?
Or something could be done for a few specific tables. @kaldari looking into it (no longer than a day), will report back.
This depends on the data storage issue @eprodromou and @Tgr are working on
@Tgr to look into this (no longer than 1 day) and report back on possibilities
Changing to low priority until we know what data solution we are using
@kaldari to add ticket description details.

Enwp volunteers already implemented a fix, closing for now but can reopen if necessary.

This didn't end up being part of the SDC program, so I'm removing myself as the assignee.

Not providing the promised SPARQL endpoint for Structured data on Commons is effectively pulling the plug on the whole project.

perhaps suggesting design ideas?

wondering about the priority and deadline for the two search related measurements above. Are they still needed, and if so, is the end of January also the deadline for those?
Jan 17 2020
We could maybe delay a week and plug the numbers into an already-written draft, but that risks having to rewrite something in a fire drill because the numbers weren't what we guessed. If your team can set aside a day the second week of Feb for a potential fire drill, we might be able to delay a week. Since the report needs to go through rounds of internal review, it needs to be ready to review before the 3rd week of Feb.

@Neil_P._Quinn_WMF I couldn't really say--we just need the numbers ready by Jan 31.

@Mayakp.wiki here is the dumps ticket, for tracking purposes: T221917: Create RDF dump of structured data on Commons
@Abit is the nt format the one needed for WDQS testing?
Jan 8 2020
@ArielGlenn What is this blocked or stalled on? Looks like several of the subtasks have been closed, but not all.
Dec 20 2019
It would also be useful to link or mention the Operations task (for the data dump) in the task you create for Metric 1.
Thanks @Mayakp.wiki ! I will look at these before the break. Do you want
me to create the two new tickets?

Ah sorry about that, the discussion moved to T238878: Data about how many file pages on Commons contain at least one structured data element after I sent that email, and the clarification of the three different definitions I listed above came from those conversations.
So, it seems we have 2 completely separate definitions of "structured data"

@Nuria where will this number be reported in the tuning session?
I hope these numbers answer Q3, and please let me know what questions you have about this analysis! :)
I would expect that the wbc_entity_usage table provides this information, but inspecting the entries there for a couple of pages reveals that it contains captions ("labels") that are not shown on the corresponding page on Commons. Potential follow-up work would be asking the developers what code logic is behind choosing whether or not to show a caption (e.g. if the caption doesn't actually exist, how is that determined?)
@matthiasmullie or @Cparle , our caption developers, any idea what's going on here?

seems like this may be affected by issues with counting the number of files with structured data...see T238878: Data about how many file pages on Commons contain at least one structured data element for details.
@Addshore said there were 2,988,205 as of 9 PST this morning. I got the sense he didn't count using search, but he'll have to confirm.

Thanks for these use cases @Jheald -- they are very interesting, and I appreciate you explaining the demand as well. We're trying to finish the prototype for the Commons Query Service by the end of the month, so I don't think we can incorporate them in this first iteration, but we should consider them for the next. Copying @dr0ptp4kt so he's aware of these use cases for his machine vision conversations as well.

Thanks for commenting, @Jheald. Can you share what you would use this capability for?

This looks very promising! I'd like to go over it with @SandraF_WMF when she gets back first week of August to consider the GLAM perspective.

@alaa_wmde , as @Lucas_Werkmeister_WMDE says, we do indeed have a clear use case for MediaInfo now--we need to be able to find the M entity that is added to lua syntax on Commons. Can you please include this use case in your redesign?

@greg heads up, sir, we're planning on using test Commons through September, per our chat.
