Moving it to the current Hub workboard. The available tools have been improved since we first looked at this task. The first thing to do would be checking on Commons whether the pictures have already been uploaded by someone.

It seems there's still possibility of picking it up. The reason why it didn't work out is that we did not receive the images.

@John_Cummings I definitely think we should have a look at these projects again, to see what's realistic to do. That's a lot valuable material. Until then i'll move this to this yuear's boards.

@Marc_Maillard_WMSE and me had an initial look at the material shared by the museum. Later this week we will have a working meeting to start processing the metadata and develop an OpenRefine workflow for the whole batch.

I think this is worth picking up again at some point. @John_Cummings do you have any updates since the last time we talked about this?

It is something we will want to look into as a minority language representation project. We would have to look into whether this data is available as structured data first.

We could pick up this again since a lot of time has passed, but it will require looking more in depth at what data is available.

@John_Cummings Do you have any recollection or documentation on whether this actually took place?

Looks like WLM in Norway uses the official map Kulturminnesök for identifying participating monuments, and the competition is off-wiki.

@jhsoby Does the Norwegian community do anything with the Wikidata data about cultural heritage monuments? Do you know if there's a map, or a need for one for WLM?

We didn't do it back in 2021 and if we want to pick up it again, it will have to be done from scratch - probably a lot has changed, and we would have to see what the current WLM process looks like in the Norwegian community. Leaving the photo upload task open since there's things to explore there.
