Got it. Thank you !
Well, Irène stopped working for the WMF. So it now fully makes sense that no one gets anything.
Hello. Well, we'd love to see it created :) Thank you in advance

ISA is mentionned in the project description : https://tools.wmflabs.org/isa/
The two mentors were involved in ISA and unless wrong, Gabriel Lee already participated to its code.
Hello. It does look like to me as a "middle-ground" between ISA and the Wikidata games approach. Am I correct ?

This issue is not ONLY an interface issue. That tool was intended to be multilingual, because this is one of the benefit of using Wikidata (being language neutral).
At the moment, depicts can only be added in French and in English. No other language. So, whilst the tool was meant to be language neutral, it is actually restricted to two languages for its most part.

You do well to send a reminder. I had missed the alert....

No thoughts from me....

I will suggest that "copyright status" or "source" or "creator" are not to be focused on, given that it is very unlikely that a participant to isa will know that.
Also, I think that copyright status is likely to be something automated in the future. No need for human brain to do it
Not really happy with this proposition... The idea is also to draw people in. The campaign page is far less enticing than the participation page. I fear we will simply lose some people if we restrict access to loggued-in. it is not possible to save the entries made in the session, so that when they come back from log-in, the info would still be available ?

A user won’t be able to participate in a campaign which is not opened but they can view a campaign which is ‘not yet open’(just so they know what the campaign is all about and may develop interest in the near future to contribute when the campaign is finally launched)
that's exactly my view point !

Last situation was Feb 15th. It failed but did not issue a warning.

So I have tried again. Waited waited waited and still nothing is loading.
So I went to campaign edition,
changed depth to 1. Works.
changed depth to 2. Works
changed depth to 3. Works
changed depth to 4. 18 000 images. Stuck. Then finally loaded after several back and forth
checked. It works !

Indeed. I quickly entered that as it came from the suggestion of a third party. But it is not clear I see that now.
I think the concept is "when someone launches the tool, by default, the interface is in English. Then after the person logs in, the language of the interface should be based on the language preference used on Wikimedia Commons". Of course, by default, when no translation for that language is available on ISA, it will stay in English. But "user babel box" is "language preference on commons"

Awesome. Can you ask Alex then ?
Well, nope... it does not :(
looks like it works :)
I have not been able to reproduce the depict bug (https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Festival_du_Bout_du_Monde_2017_-_Sona_Jobarteh_-_025.jpg&action=history)
Aug 26 2019
This is actually bug https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T231167
Note: deletion of depict work : https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Tabernacle_chapel_(Cong),_Maenclochog_NLW3363833.jpg&action=history
I'd say checking syntax and stoping creation if wrong selections might be the best...

served based on a "view score" that would take into account
- not viewed images (or rarely viewed) get higher score
- completeness (image with no depicts and no captions gets a higher score than those with several depicts)
- viewed by many users but no improvement provided would get lower score
Another option which may or may not be (to be discussed) technically easier would be that any image seen by a user several times and not improved be attributed a low "show that image" score so that it does not go on being pushed to user.
I second that. It was planned in the original tool, but not kept for first version. Thanks for opening a task

Currently, when a depict is added but not saved, you can actually move to next image without warning. But the new image is not displayed (only the page). When doing a "back" the proposed depict has disappeared
Agreed. Currently note that "show closed campaigns" on the "campaign directory page" is quite confusing as it is mostly grey whether clicked or not clicked
Does same thing for Legend. Is not removed in Commons when removed in ISA

Yes, I am happy with it
I am not loggued in.
I go to the Anthere's campaign. This campaign is closed.
I click on Get Started.
First image I get... there is no info.
