Hey @Tru2198 I got confused a bit. I thought we had to go to each article and search for all wikidata properties that could be added to the wikidata article. Then we would look for the values of those properties from the wikipedia article.

Try something like this:
stringclaim = pywikibot.Claim(repo, u’P214’)
stringclaim.setTarget(‘139154440091835340978’)
wd_item.addClaim(stringclaim, summary=u'Adding VIAF ID')

@AnkitaxPriya For now you could simply mention the date without any underlying link and if you wish you could add the reference url given along with the date.
You can later modify your list according to @Mike_Peel 's instructions
