Hey @nshahquinn-wmf and @KCVelaga_WMF , I think this addition to canonical_data.wikis would be very useful!

The work requested in this ticket would support the following:
- my current work:
- Strategic events impact reporting for internal WMF audience
- my work scheduled for the upcoming quarter:
- Open events impact report Toolforge tool
- the work of other data practitioners:
- For example, @Iflorez 's work on T374491 would benefit from having the centralauth.globaluser table in Data Lake
- Quoting @mpopov 's comments on slack about this issue:
Event Registration not being instrumented / not treating its data as product continues to be a major source of friction.
There are some Campaigns-Product metrics that depend on Event Registration data. Being stored in x1 makes it incompatible with our sqoop process.

If the request in T389666 is implemented, it would solve the need for this ticket, at least on my end. It would be a broader solution that can be used with other tables in addition to the mediawiki_history table, so I think it would be better.
This ticket could override the need for T365648 .

Not that it has any edits, do you want your existing wikitech account renaming and attaching? Or just create you an account on wikitech using your -WMF account?
@Reedy I want my existing wikitech account renamed to AIgumenshcheva-WMF and attached.
