Hi everyone 👋
Hi everyone 👋
I’ve been working further on my Wikimedia Outreachy Task 1 and made a few improvements to my initial submission.
So far I’ve added sorting, improved data validation, refactored the code into cleaner modules, and enhanced the UI with a card layout, summary count, and loading state. I’ve also updated the README to better explain the project.
I’m open to any feedback or suggestions 👍

I finished Task 2 and then updated it to use multithreading (ThreadPoolExecutor), so it checks multiple URLs at once instead of one by one.

Hi @Arcstur and @Ederporto,
I have completed and submitted both microtasks T418285 and T418286. While waiting for feedback, I took some time to read through the Lusophone wishlist proposals more carefully.
I found Wish #3 (duplicate reference detection in Visual Editor) particularly interesting. From what I understand, the idea would be to intercept reference insertion in the Visual Editor and compare the identifier (ISBN, DOI or URL) against already-existing references in the article, then prompt the user to reuse the existing one instead. Is this the general direction the implementation would take, or is there a different approach being considered?
I am also curious about Wish #8 and how wikiscore currently tracks contributions — specifically whether the existing scoring logic is built around the MediaWiki API or a separate data pipeline, and how Wikidata edits would need to be counted differently from Wikipedia edits.
I am comfortable working in both Python and JavaScript, and I am genuinely interested in contributing to whichever wish aligns best with the team's priorities. Looking forward to your feedback and any guidance on how to prepare further.
Thank you!
