@Aklapper the page looks the same in safe mode. I also can't edit the page with the safe mode flag. Does everything look fine for you?

Some examples of what the page looks like on mobile edit preview (fine) versus what it looks like once the edit is published (broken). Not sure what causes the edit preview to match or not match the end result, it does not always look "correct". For example, the first time I encountered the issue on the Illustration request page, the characters were broken in the edit preview (all four jumbled together), but I published anyways thinking it must be a bug with the preview and that it would be fine on the actual page, but that was not the page.

Wikitext editing on mobile is a pain

And as someone who primarily edits on mobile with wikitext, I really have to agree, but this will certainly help!

@Erutuon Indeed it's not yet working; do you happen to know the difference between hitting the "edit" button on a new page versus hitting the "edit full page" button? One would think their behavior should be identical so I would imagine there might be some difference causing the issue.

The duplication/snowmen issue seems resolved, although now I have to hit the backspace button approximately a million times before it starts actually deleting if I start on the last blank line 🤷

Thanks for testing this so quickly, though that is interesting that it did not occur. The snowmen replacing references may very well be a separate bug that this one just happens to cause as well. In either case, I just tried on your page and it occurred again (duplicated "Test" with two snowmen after it). I can send a screen recording of it happening if it would be helpful?
