Cannot reproduce using Chromium Version 96.0.4664.45 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Fedora 35:
I assume that this seems to be a local problem on your machine with fonts or such. For future reference, please attach screenshots.

I want to note that this tool, as far as I know, is used both on mediawiki.org (it is mentioned), as well as on translatewiki.net, and there is this problem on these projects.
