Adding note that this would help for Future Audiences. Our current experiment is about making Wikipedia articles into cards, and this would help us crop images programmatically to make cards. That being said, this would also be useful for other experiments (and would have been useful for past experiments). As a past example, during our collage creation app experiment, this would have been great to help us crop images in certain slots. For the future, we'll be focusing on images (and media further from text).

@Aklapper : This is the first ticket added by a community member for FA's Phab board in a good minute. It seems that this was added to the Future Audiences board a while ago, but that some discussion on this has already happened. It also doesn't seem like this is a wish, just a request. Is this correct?
I had at first wondered if this was a wish, and was asking if there was a way to tell how much support it had. Community members do talk about the prioritization of requests.

Hello! I see that this ticket has been added to the Future Audiences board. I'm the Product Manager for this team. Could I ask for some background on this task and some more information on how this task is prioritized/distributed? Thank you!
