Over at svwp I hacked a intermediate solution before this is solved in a template for lakes in Sweden to display the maplink map if there is OSM data available through wikidata(P10689 and P402 property) but using the coordinate as a fallback would be a great to not show empty maplink frames! : Changeset for that template with hacky use of #if
