The current patch only prevents the Error in the main script. It neither catches the error
pywikibot.exceptions.FatalServerError: No connection adapters were found for 'mailto:info@wikimedia.org'
in the link thread nor checks the validity of mail addresses in any way. I will probably add this the next days although I am not sure what exactly the expected behavior for unknown uri schemes is. Probably just ignoring them?
