A >200 people telegram group is useful & handy if members of the organising team curate it and remain available to respond at any time. However, not all attendees may join the group or give it an intense use, so it may be interesting that crucial information is spreaded through other media, especially the IRC chat, Twitter, and a notice board at the venue's entrance. Maybe some of that was already done but it has just popped in my mind right now.

Guess I'm doing some task necromancy here, but the current file copyright pemissions workflow is a pet peeve of mine and thought that we could try to improve it somehow during next Wikimedia Hackathon.
I'm not a developer myself, but I'd like to help to make this tool and workflow better so that we don't lose so many file uploads due to a rather obscure process.

Hello, sorry for not having reacted earlier to the ping. I'm waiting for an answer from UAB's Oficina de Medi Ambient regarding an activity we're planning to offer prior to the opening. I have suggested them to schedule it from 8 to 9:30, so if things work out there won't be any interference with the proposed opening time.

Split the task by categories. I guess eventually these will be split again by Hackathon day or merged directly winto the program.

At some point we'll probably need to split these in the days the Hackathon will last to ease organisation / scheduling.
