Interesting! I didn't realize that. It's not causing an import problem. It is weird though! It doesn't look like donations are getting linked there. My first reaction was to removed it from the donor's profile I was working on, but I just left it.

I only knew it was incorrect because I needed to move it to the Endowment file. In that instance I check the CID because I need to make an adjustment in the donation .Otherwise I wouldn't have known. I don't get rejections anymore based on the CID.

I haven't noticed any deleted contacts. Sometimes the CID is incorrect, but it's only because two or more profiles were merged.

I think it makes sense to match to the zip code when it's the same name and company. @MDemosWMF what do you think?

Sometimes we don't have the Organization in Civi. I'll have to add it.

@Lars I'm in the middle of the Benevity import. I'm still getting a lot of errors. I was able to resolve quite a few. Here is a link to the error page. I still have over 4,000 items importing, so that number will change.

@Lars I'm not sure it this answers your question. We are getting duplicate individual contact errors. I don't know if we get the same result with Email is enuf (first match).

@Lars I imported a Benevity file. This is import 3503. It successfully imported, but I can't see the error. Apologies if I should have held off on a second import.

I looked over the test import. It looks good. The "workplace giving" and "matched Gift" in the soft credit field are flipped. The matched gift should be on the company donation, and workplace giving should be on the individual.

I haven't had this issue repeat since I put in the phab task.

Originally the information about the error was not available, but later we were able to see why. We merged and imported it. We will continue to monitor this as we do more imports.
