The Checkusers on NL Wikipedia and the community as a whole where informed May 2022 by the Ombuds Commission that the procedure for blocking IPs "does not comply with the CheckUser and access to nonpublic personal data policies". Since that date the checkusers have been working on an alternative procedure which has finally resulted in the RFC and this request. The Ombudscommision message can be read on this page:

I highly support this ticket/request. Now, in August 2021, there are several campains running. I am getting the notices several times a day. (Yes, I am involved with our projects several times a day). Currently I am seeing the notice for voting for the Foundation, a local campaign for a writing contest, and still another one. They appear in all projects I am working on - on my Windows 10 PC with Chrome, and then again, on my mobile phone with Android. I am really interested in what is going on, but this makes me a bit crazy and annoyed. Please solve this problem.
