Since displaying the username all the time may be bad for the privacy, maybe is it possible to keep the hash but give a tool which compare it with the username given by the CU.

Hello, I had similar problem in the past. Please verify if you can connect to Internet with "Internet Explorer" browser. Indeed AWB seem to take IE's config. Finally, to me, it was a proxy error in IE (but was ok with others browsers).
