tested, works well again. thanks

Try to be more precise than before:
- I try to upload >1 files with the UW, but only for one of the files I get to the description step (the first, the last? - don't know, no preview shown)
For any file uploaded via the UW:
- Name is empty (normally this is the local name of the file)
- Description is empty (not copied from the url parameter)
- Date is empty (normally this is the capture date of the image)
Apr 24 2018
@matmarex no need to upload anything, just call the url and in the consecutive steps in the UW you will see that input fields are not properly filled (you can use any pair of files) and that there is only a description step for one of the many files uploaded in UW call.

This seems to be broken again.

@Dvorapa, I have a rather complicated sql script calculating the center of a set of coordinates and sorting all the coordinates by decreasing distance from that center to find smelling coordinates. You can find the sql here: https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/12034 (1)
I want to use it in python to run it across all combinations of iso-codes as found here: https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/24402?action=history (2)
I wanted to use the sqlPageGenerator to get the results of script (1).
First I tried to iterate over all combinations of iso-codes in the quarry script, but failed to do so (not enough sql knowledge, lacking permissions to define stored procedures as well as cursors). I don't want to frickle around by downloading the results of script (1) multiple times.

You can close this either way. I was helped on T185434.
@Chicocvenancio: the main problem is always to find the right person. Not to fix the problem which was eventually just a chown with sufficient permissions. Thank you so much (it works now).
Sorry, understand now, why OAuth is the wrong way to try. Thanks for your patience.

thanks @Tgr. Is there a plain guideline on how to run a bot from paws under a different user? Did not succeed in finding one.

same is true not only for the description. I put it here to avoid duplicate issues (presumingly the same reason):

see my comment above. As long as Erfgoedbot does not do this for all usages of UW, it is not fixed.
Feb 15 2017
Feb 14 2017
Two questions on that:
- Does Erfgoedbot work on any template using the upload wizard or just on the WLM stuff? There is a lot of similar templates for table rows, e.g. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlage:WLPA-AT-Zeile If Erfgoedbot does, than ok. Otherwise there still is a problem with the object location in non-WLM cases.
- Provided, Erfgoedbot does not work by default on all those table row templates, we need a mechanism to pass object location (as given in the lists - camera location cannot be given for unknown images!) via url-parameter to the UW. How can this be achieved?

it is also described in https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Pywikibot/pagegenerators.py#Calls_from_another_program (and does not work)

Matmarex, sorry for being such an idiot. grmmmmm. Of course I tried to open it in another tab. It works like a charm on left click.

I'm not talking about why there is an error message and what triggers the error message, it is valuable restriction to not allow any junk filename.
matmarex, do not understand.
Your screenshots are the designed behaviour or the current behaviour? Only my problem or all others too?
Not sure what you mean. You already have a "maximize map" button in the upper right corner of <mapframe>
example screenshots are a first step, my comments:

I now have a workaround that works for me:
see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Herzi_Pinki/minerva.js & https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Herzi_Pinki/minerva.css
@Jdlrobson, you're right about my css. I was too keen to publish it here. But I keep on working on it.
the general idea behind is to use individual css for those who need coordinates and not to wait until this is solved either way.
see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Herzi_Pinki/minerva.css for an individual workaround (just as a general idea not fully elaborated)
I was investigating the situation a bit more and want to sort out things here (also partly contradicting my previous post here):

I'm intensively involved in Austrian monument data, update process, template programming, user support, etc. Since the beginning in 2011. My goal is to bring the Austrian monument data to WD and replace the currectly existing monument lists in WP:de by something mostly generated from WD.

I suspect that the search requests are handled by arbitrary servers depending on load balancing. And that the search servers do have slightly different internal state of the database. Which would give a reason for different results.

Same for me, got the same error for simple jpg. Chunked uploads are disabled in my config.
There seems to be a limit of 10 MB making the difference. The file in question was slightly above 10 MB, I scaled it down to less than 10 MB and than it worked.

Hi, thanks for fixing that. It is ok for me now. Seems to be that the navigation in the dropdown menu is leftbound again.
Feb 7 2016
I found out, that I can use the cursor down in the search bar of firefox (alternatively use ⌘ G on Mac) to navigate through the six occurences. So this will help. (And I will not insist on improvement.)

My defaultlanguage is German, and I usually add descriptions also in English.
matmarex, you are right in your assumptions. I did not see the poll. Although I doubt that ''no one was using it'', your are right in that the slightly bigger thumb was not that useful. If you reactivate this enlargement feature, it makes only sense if the images comes in a much bigger size. Otherwise I do not have problems if you set this to wont fix.
Dec 13 2015
Is this about a completely new upload, or overwriting an old version? Which file formats has this been seen with?
Dec 11 2015
The main problem here is that the UW is getting 'improved' all the time and sometimes it is getting worse. Thus I put things together. But to help you to fix the problems I will split the task. See subtasks for details. In general, this is a core feature of Commons and it would be nice to do proper regression testing.

I had a look at the job queue at https://wikiapiary.com/wiki/Wikipedia_%28en%29
There is a recurring pattern, the job queue length is going up approx. every 7 days to 3-4M and then coming down slowly to some 100k just to go up again almost immediately. Strange. Unless there is a once a week power editor / background job putting the system above its limits, and the pattern continues to occur, this should be worth further examinations.

Sorry for interfering, but I can reproduce the behavior (different file, different ISP, different country), for small files it works like a charm, for larger files (mine was 6.5 Mb), it hangs. I did not try to verify the maximum size where it still does work.

Do you think it is still the same bug, or something unrelated?
Upload through UW worked for me this morning on FF, but now (after 14 UTC) no upload happens again. The behavior is different: I get the ''share from Flickr'' button. Upload through UW does not with Safari either, same behavior.

It only happens in FF, in Safari the upload via UW succeeds. So it is unlikely the internet provider.
