Thank you for the answer. I learned something about Programming languages and licenses related to them. If there is a free implementation or someone is willing to rewrite and publish it under a free license then I think it is great if such a concept will be implemented in Wikifunctions. The mentioned repository in Python offers functionality to read Labview-Files as far as I understood. If it offers more functionality please mention it here.

I wrote an experimental script to convert blocks from the Visual Programming languages Snap! and Scratch into source code based on a Mapping in a CSV-File. You can find the source code here. It is experimental and I am interested and try to extend the functionality of it. For example adding support for nested functions and also a reverse block create script. So you have source code as Input and get Blocks in a visual programming language as output.
What is the License of the Programming Language G. Are there free compilers with public source code available or is it a proprietary language. When I looked for LabView I read that it is proprietary.

I have seen that a task for that exists. https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T348400 So it is duplicated.

From my point of view is Ethercalc a good example of an free Webspreadsheet with the from my point of view very interesting feature to create forms and put the different elements used in them like check boxes into a cell through a function. It is possible to translate it into other languages and so that could be a possible tool for the contributions. I think the most people are interested in using content at their own computer without using external web services. A challenge when copying Spreadsheetfunctions out of a websource is the translation. There are different formats depending on the language and local specifications. In Germany the separator of Arguments of a functions in a Spreadsheet is usually a ; and in other Languages it is a ,. So there needs to be the possibility of converting it. For a good reuse it is helpful to have two different kind of formulas for an implementation. One that has fix cell addresses in it and another one that is created in way to be editable after inserting into a speadsheet. I will try to write a text with thoughts about it in Metawiki to discuss it further when I am ready. At the moment I am working on the automatical conversion of spreadsheetfunctions into functions in R. I hope that I have in a few weeks an first good working prototype installed in the PAWS installation of Wikimedia in my own profile. So that people can copy the files and tried it in their own PAWS Profile or on their own computer.

This is a interesting thing. In PAWS it is possible to use R. I tried to do a bit with it in the last days but I dont know much about it. Do you think it is possible to use R for creating such an upload for Quick Statements
