Horcrux92 added a comment to T221834: Change configuration for itwiki to consider deadurl and urlmorto to be synonyms.

However, the InternetArchiveBot will not be able to fix template parameters, that's beyond the scope of the project. Please find a local bot operator for this part of the task.

In the case of |urlmorto=no|deadurl=sì (or |urlmorto=sì|deadurl=no) we need a bot (like InternetArchiveBot) that visits the website and removes the parameter with "no" if the site is broken, "sì" otherwise. It would be a matter of fixing a mistake made, so I don't understand why someone else should take care of it.

Any news? I don't think it would be such a difficult fix.

@Horcrux92, installing latest Pywikibot version (git master from gerrit or the github mirror) should fix this issue for you.

Hi @ChongDae, first of all thank You for your bug report, that's pretty well described issue. In future if You will find another, don't hesitate - just raport it here and attach to Pywikibot project (as @Aklapper did).
And the second issue here is that I'm closing this one as a duplicate of T150210 and adding You to subscribers of the other one. There's already patch in code review that resolve this isssue waiting for successful review.

Horcrux92 added a comment to T115803: Add the sidelink to the Commons category, in absence of the gallery.

Yes! The problem was in JS page it:MediaWiki:InterProject.js (called by commons.js), that dinamically takes data from the html generated from the function RenderLeftBar of the module Interprogetto.

I believe it is https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modulo:Interprogetto ? Since it's a Lua module it should not be hard to add fetching from WD. Actually it should work entirely basing on WD imho. Both for commonscats and galleries. If it doesn't yet. I am bad at both Italian and Lua.

Horcrux92 added a comment to T115803: Add the sidelink to the Commons category, in absence of the gallery.

https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vittorio_Emanuele_II_di_Savoia links to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q168691
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Victor_Emmanuel_II_of_Italy links to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q7367480 which defines Q168691 as "category's main topic".
The two pages do not have the same name if you strip the namespace.
https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domenico_Tarsitani links to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3713260
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Domenico_Tarsitani has no "Wikidata item" shown under "Tools".

Horcrux92 added a comment to T101101: Automatic update of Wikidata items after moving an article with suppression of the landing page.

I'm referring to the possibility to automatically delete the existing destination page and replace it with the one you are moving.
To understand this better, is the operation that causes the automatic message MediaWiki:Delete_and_move_reason.

Horcrux92 added a comment to T72230: Provide three editing labels ("Edit", "Edit source" and "Edit beta") on it.wp.

It was difficult to understand because I assumed you want to potentially display three labels. Initial description wasn't entirely clear. Alright then, thanks for clarifying and your patience :)

Horcrux92 added a comment to T72230: Provide three editing labels ("Edit", "Edit source" and "Edit beta") on it.wp.

Sorry but I'm getting lost here (plus I don't know implementation details as I'm not a developer).
Could you please edit the task description here and finish these two sentences:

  • When VE is off: Show these labels in this order: ...
  • When VE is on, show these labels in this order: ...

plus for the case of just displaying "Edit", please also explain what "Edit" would do (either wikitext or VE).
That might things less confusing here. Sorry. :-/

Horcrux92 added a comment to T72230: Provide three editing labels ("Edit", "Edit source" and "Edit beta") on it.wp.

Because "edit" is ambiguous.

If that's ambiguous then why request three labels, instead of two that are not ambiguous (classic wikitext editing, VE editing)?

Horcrux92 added a comment to T72230: Provide three editing labels ("Edit", "Edit source" and "Edit beta") on it.wp.

Because "edit" is ambiguous. Why the basic "edit" should be the VE-mode?

Horcrux92 added a comment to T72230: Provide three editing labels ("Edit", "Edit source" and "Edit beta") on it.wp.

The problem is that we cannot turn the label "Edit" in "Vidual edit" without changing the same label for who has got VE off.
