The original plan was for events occurring in Australia to be identified by location, to tie in spatially
on an open street map base - and the page ''Drilldown events -Wikimedia Australia'' is a sign that the process of dealing with the data has been successfully resolved. Thank you Sam Wilson

Thanks Sam, that will take time

Thanks -
Wiki Club West project - the Wiki Club West organisation is basically an extension of Wikimedia Australia - in the state of Western Australia, we have had GLAM collaborations within the state, and the capital city of Perth. Based in Perth, Wiki Club West has meetups, and projects based within the state, as well as collaborations and regional projects.
Sorry about the delay in reply to this matter - Australia as a site of events and exercises does not necessarily mean ''exactly'' wikimedia australia, not all events are necessarily tied in with its support or endorsement, Australia also does have organisations that have collaborated with wikimedia australia - so the problem is that wikimedia australia is not necessarily the total defining term - but australia the continent yes. I do hope I do not sound like a tautologist on this - please ask further if I can help in any way on this matter

No it is not about WMAU, but specific Wiki Club West material, there is no
expectation that other states have wiki clubs as organised as western
australia, or are ever likely to have clubs that actually go to the extent
to which events and other projects might be tied in.
It was really required for #Wiki Club West *as a part of* Wikimedia
Australia, I have had no contact with editors from other states as to
whether they have any ideas, and have no idea if other state projects will
ever actually utilise it ( regional breakups of state information) on
board - as there is considerable variation between states as to how the
wiki clubs or state groups are active, or actually perceive their scope
and level of actacive ivity within their state - in the specific case of
Wiki Club West, we actually do have concerns to standardise all regions and
utilise the regions as a means of narrowing and working regional
information , we already have 'Wheatbelt", Kimberley, and Pilbara regions
established in english wikipedia, Australia project, Western Australian sub
project.
