I’ve noticed that the version of this problem I’ve observed (initial search field on iPad not receiving focus when tapped immediately after launch) does not exhibit itself immediately after an iPad restart, but after a while (days?), we see it. I conjecture that this might be an issue with Apple’s libraries rather than the app itself. I’m not in a position to verify that myself.
