Weird is normal. Normal is weird.

The bot has now been unblocked and is editing again. I will report here if the bot is seen blanking WP:CHUS again.

This is outside the scope of global rename. If I'm reading this task correctly, you're trying to make it so that non-admins, non-global renamers, or non-stewards cannot move userpages to new titles. This doesn't involve global rename or CentralAuth, so I'm removing those project tags.

Hopefully things go smoothly this time. Best of luck!

@kaldari The backlog is mostly cleared now, still have some usurpation requests pending at m:SRUC that are scheduled to be processed within the next few days.
Dec 6 2016
Any updates on this? The requests are starting to pile up, and it looks like we have quite the Christmas present this year! (Also, a number of users are querying me asking about the status of their requests)

Nov 30 2016
It is November 30, 2016; are we good to go to reopen the gates?
Nov 27 2016
Any updates on this? It was mentioned at T151155 that renames will be disabled for longer than the 27th.
Nov 20 2016
A few users renamed past the 00:00 November 20 cutoff date.
Nov 17 2016
Couldn't we just edit https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Globalrenamequeue with a bright red notice to warn renamers not to rename? Someone is going to be seriously trouted if they somehow miss it.

It would definitely be useful, makes it easier to track rename progress. Currently it seems archaic to have to reload the page to get updates.
Sep 15 2016
Do we have the green light to start renaming users again?

https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalRenameProgress/Sra.Yguazu and https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalRenameProgress/IsidoraZivotic are also stuck. The renames are failing on mediawiki.org. Should we put up the "Do not rename" notice again?

Can we start renaming again? Recent renames seem to be going through, but I'm not getting any "official" confirmation that the problem is fixed for sure.
Jul 5 2016
wm-bot seems to be back up, saw it rejoin IRC at around 7:23AM EST.
Jun 18 2016
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalRenameProgress/Quijx and https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalRenameProgress/Graymilk127 also seem to be stuck. I processed two renames earlier this morning, and one completed successfully.
Jun 8 2016
Seems to be working, recent renames seem to be going through. Of course, we need to manually complete the ones stuck in limbo at Special:GlobalRenameProgress.
Actually, forget what I said earlier. It's the same bug, apparently, with renames failing on MediaWiki.org again. https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalRenameProgress
Jun 6 2016
Seems to only be affecting that one rename, as all other rename requests are completing successfully.
May 27 2016
At the very least, couldn't there be an option in Special:Preferences to revert this change?
