Hi @ifried , exactly the association between events and an entity would be the goal. Maybe not only specific accounts, but whole projects (e.g via Wikidata since WikiMUC and most WikiProjects have an item already).

The upcoming django-allauth release should fix the issues with the mediawiki socialaccount provider as well. See this issue for more.

Aside from file generation, would it be possible to have a calender for a specific WikiProject? E.g we build this custom calendar application for a local group in Germany ( https://kalender.wikimuc.org/ ), but it would be great if we could offer a custom calender feed for a series of events.

A Mattermost bridge would also be great, to integrate e.g mattermost.wikimedia.de in the long run: https://github.com/mattermost-community/matrix-as-mm

Is there a domain already selected for hosting this service? Something like matrix.wikimedia.org ?

@Tgr I'd like to help with creating a more production ready version. I have some experience on hosting and configuring synapse, is there something I could do?
And could we maybe buy a space on EMS services instead, to support the project more directly?
