Great, I am experienced with PHP and would like to help. My main focus is that I want to get the API working again so that the gadget also starts working again (as I find the gadget pretty useful).

What did this tool do that the newer pageviews tools don't do? I think it plotted the edits to an article in addition to the view counts, anything else?

I'm interested in contributing to fixing this. Can someone add me to the tool's group so I can have a look at the code on the server?
