After getting the error message, run the populateContentTables.php script once manually. Then run the update.php a 2nd time to execute the rest of the upgrade (without requiring to restore the database to the initial backup).

There is some software problem in the sequence of releases between 1.31.10 / 1.32 and 1.35. The update.php script should have automatically run the populateContentTables.php script during the upgrade, but it does not.

I was in 1.22 version, and I am running updates version by version. Until version 1.32 everything alrigth, but 1.32 to 1.33 happen the error below:
