MediaWiki already supports remote actors (eg. pl>Msz2001), but they are defined using an interwiki prefix and not database name – pl>Msz2001 is equivalent to [[pl:User:Msz2001]], whereas plwiki>Msz2001 is not linked (unrecognized prefix). However, interwiki prefixes are defined in a context of specific wiki (s: means something different on English and French Wikipedias), and it's currenty impossible to query interwikis on a remote wiki. Therefore the only alternative that I see is to render the interwiki log performers as metawiki>StewardName, which will be unclickable (metawiki is not a recognized interwiki prefix), unlike m>StewardName.

Or, maybe, metawiki should be then defined as an interwiki prefix for Meta?

As a possible solution, the log could include a source indicator similar to how it appears on Meta.

Currently, when a user right is changed from outside a wiki, the log entry appears the same as a local rights change. It would be helpful if there were an indicator showing that the change originated from outside the wiki.

The MOS namespace was created on Bangla Wikipedia along with a few other wikis as part of T363538, mainly to support interwiki and wikilink functionality for moswiki. However, I don't think translating this namespace is necessary at this point. It currently has no practical use on Bangla Wikipedia, and I don't see any foreseeable need for it in the near future.

Mass delete permission has been added to custodians and removed from bureaucrats.

Since all bureaucrats are also custodians, it makes sense to remove nuke permissions from this group. I would like to hear others' opinions on this matter.

Unlike previous scenarios, this situation deviates because initiatives like section translation didn't impose themselves on all site users, leaving room to abstain. The community is still enthusiastic about participating in research and software development, as demonstrated previously. Yet, maintaining a smooth workflow for regular tasks and contributions is also a priority.

We wanted to make sure the instrumentation was working well before making further changes. The instrumentation efforts in T321386 had recent progress, and are expected to be completed very soon (only pending verification).
With instrumentation in place, we can better evaluate alternative approaches. For example, changing the default may result in less views but not reduce the people that access the option to translate (i.e., those interested in such activity can still find it).

I'll create a sub-ticket with the selected proposal to try so that development can start as soon as possible.

The linked discussion is about adding a new font, Tiro Bangla. Tiro Bangla will be added as an extra Bengali font; users can use it when they want by changing their preferences. The default settings will remain unchanged.

The user requested a rename on azwiki and the global rename queue. Azwiki's request was approved using the global rename form. For this reason, the request remained on the queue until someone declined it.
