@Balaji030698 I would love to test out the bot - do I need to friend you on FB?
Thank you! @aubrie is going to take in on from here! ⚽ ⚽

Hi @Balaji030698 - @Slaporte (from the legal team) will respond shortly! I know he was juggling quite a lot last week, but it's on his to-do list.
May 10 2018
Ah, I see — we do provide translations on the blog, though — and are happy to work with you on a design that could work with more than one language, if it's feasible.
We can add it as text to be translated for the new website. Will work with @Varnent on copy.
May 9 2018
@Balaji030698 I will ask our Policy and Legal team today and let you know what they say.

Hello Balaji,
Feb 26 2018
Thanks for looping me in. That's a better question for @Varnent (not sure if he has an WMF account but am linking the one I found.)
Hi @Aklapper thanks for posting this — we've changed our blogging guidelines slightly, and to make sure the entire team sees this, I'm going to email your link to digitalmedia@ and cc you. (It's easier for us to keep track of one intake pipeline right now, and email works for the majority of the movement.)
Feb 15 2018
@SrishtiSethi AMAZING. Would you mind if I looped in my colleagues who work specifically on branding so we can make sure this is set up for both the Foundation and affiliates? (They're not on Phab so I can play go-between.)
Feb 13 2018
Looks good @Halfak. I added a few points of clarification in your outline.
Please let us know when it's ready for a look.

I've been to conferences where leads have been trained in advance (or the night before) by a professional facilitation team – and that was really great for me (as someone who was learning how to facilitate.)
Would like to request small honorarium budget for keynotes for next year, both to ensure that we can ask keynotes to create fresh, relevant material — and we can go over it in advance – and to widen the geographic pool of candidates.

But I still think it's worth having images, because they often help posts circulate more than they otherwise would. (And we're limited in the images we can post due to licensing specific to the social platforms.)
Thanks @Quiddity - I'll make sure we update our own Twitter and describe every image. We could respond with the text. (We took this approach at my last job and I wrote about it here: https://18f.gsa.gov/2015/03/24/making-twitter-images-more-accessible/)

Hi all,
Nov 27 2017
There are many orgs. that use Discourse as a Q&A system, and help new developers navigate documentation/code. Here are several that jumped out to me, and there are many open source projects using this platform. Here are some of the boards I found, if people would like to see how others orgs. are using this:
Nov 17 2017
Great, I'll hop back in.
Nov 14 2017
@Nemo_bis I don't see this as different than the many Wikipedia-related Twitter bots that exist...
Nov 1 2017
Ah, thanks @Aklapper - is it possible to get that link (or the information contained within) added to the monthly email update I receive? I'm not sure who mans the wheels on that.
Hello! I just received the monthly stats email ([Wikitech-l] Phabricator monthly statistics - 2017-10) and I'm wondering if there's a way to show a 3 or 6 month trend. I do not know from the email if new Phab users have slowed down to a trickle or doubled...and the same holds true for active users and other metrics. This is a very very low-priority ask, but I would love to see additional stats added that compare the current figures to the past 3 or 6 months, so we can learn more about the ongoing nature of the userbase. Thank you! Mel

No worries whatsoever - just wanted to check in. Good luck with your deadlines (I remember that time well, and don't miss it!) Looking forward to reconnecting in November.
Oct 24 2017
Hi @MtDu - just checking in on this. How's it going?
Oct 16 2017
@EdErhart-WMF Is this task complete? Can we close it?
I recently received a series of emails ahead of an annual conference I attend, and they were spectacular.

No worries!

I would loop me in once you have a draft — I'm fairly technical, and this way if there's something that needs to be fixed, it can be fixed early in the process. :)
Hello! Just checking in on this post @MtDu!
Oct 5 2017
Once all approvals are in, we can publish as soon as there's a window. Would you like to aim for mid-next week?
Sep 28 2017
Sep 26 2017
Draft is submitted/edited, waiting for approval.
Thanks @MtDu - good luck with your deadline, and please let us know when this is ready for a look!
@srishakatux If she's been invited to submit, I assume that's because they want to post it? (Or is it like a contest where they only post certain entries?)
Sep 21 2017
That's great! Once it's live, please let me know and we can socialize the link through Twitter / FB / our channels.
Sep 20 2017
sounds good. Just ping me here or on IRC or something when you're ready for a look!
Hello @faidon - I'm just seeing this. is this ready for review from the blog team? Are there others who should be looped into the approval process from Ops?
Hello @Qgil you can find my edits in the document above. I trimmed down the piece considerably, and tried to ensure that the subsections were focused on what you're doing, how you're doing it, and what your next steps are.
Hi all,
Sep 15 2017
Would you like me to wait until the cosmetic edits are in? That might save some time on our end. Let me know!

I volunteer to help with any kind of content needs for this project, whether it's creating descriptions, keywords, a taxonomy, etc.

@bd808 Here is a draft:
Aug 28 2017
This is actually on my to-do list for this week and I have this YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edKrdyQl-Sg) in a tab ready for me!
@CKoerner_WMF This looks really good to me - what's the timeline for publication? I can add to our content calendar once I have that information handy.
Apologies for the delay - a draft of the blog post is here:
Aug 21 2017
@Halfak, this would make an excellent blog post for the Wikimedia blog — mind if I repost it over there with some small edits?
Aug 17 2017
That's fine! I love the idea of an initial list of "7-10 projects, organized by topic/theme/interest, that specifically speak to newcomers." We can then write up small descriptions of each one and the pathway in for the blog. Would that initial approach be of interest?
Aug 16 2017
I think a blog post in early September would be good timing and hit the many audiences who are likely away on their August vacation right now (shakes fist at European colleagues).
We'd love to know about both Featured Projects and non-featured projects because we may want to eventually do a roundup like this:
I love the idea of using that STL for the blog post — @CKoerner_WMF, please let me know when the post draft is finalized for an edit. I see the link but am unsure if it's ready for me to jump in!

Ah, okay. Then what I think we're asking for is a public project for the blog-social-team, and then a private Space for that team. The tasks in that space should be associated with the public project, but only visible to the people listed above. Does that make sense?
Thanks @Erik_Zachte - please let us know when it's ready for a peek!
Sounds good. Ping when done @Deskana
I'm confused by the terminology, but think what we'd like is a new project, in addition to what already exists. The existing projects are not sufficient to track additional information, because this new "project" will be team-wide. I can't tell based on the documentation if what I'm asking for is a Space or a Project. What I'd like is a private workboard for the people mentioned above –

suggested edits in, I'm happy to talk through them — I think it needed a change in tone, and I'd like to add a bit about the upcoming paper you have coming out. LMK what you think.
@Halfak - Just looked, and it doesn't look like the draft is finished. Want to ping me and @EdErhart-WMF when you're ready for another set of eyeballs?
I'm taking a look now - I think we can totally post on or close to that date, @Halfak

This is a great idea and can largely be based on the wikitech-l note (https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-l/2017-July/088466.html) with some more detail and storytelling.
Thanks @Erik_Zachte - please let me know when a blog post is ready to edit!
Edits in, @Halfak
