I am personally mixed between the goal of staying sober by default, and the need ''of fast'' for experienced users. Also, I understand why only notifications are outside the menu, because they are not links, they open a box with all our notifications.

+1 It would be really important. I think the substitued function should be indicated by inserting a template only on a meta page because there is no reason to subst a template on an article.
