Actually, Vector 2022 is not the default interface on those websites. During my tests, I changed from Vector 2010 to Vector 2022 and the baseline was missing. I didn't realize it was not integrated before.
For example, for French Wikisource, it should be "la bibliothèque libre".

It could be very useful to have a set of query that display a quantity of word by speakers locations and other dataviz such as quantities by countries.

categories are often not things readers would even want to see.

I didn't increased the priority, I reset it as setted by EBernhardson. I consider that my insight is as valuable as the one by someone working on Structured Data, a not related project. I do not plan to work on fixing this issue, at least, not more than to provide the solution I indicate before. I can't modify the setting of MediaWiki.

What is the reason to lower the priority for this task?
It is very important for Wiktionaries, mostly for languages that do a distinction based on capitalization, such as German.

Hi,
It's a very interesting conversation. It reminds me https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T183747
Maybe they could be related?

The delay was totally correct, no need for apologies for it. Actually, I think you took this subject seriously and managed to discuss it quite fast, and I want to thank you for that.

Vote done, decision accepted by the community. To deploy, if possible for the 22th, anniversary of French Wiktionary.

The vote is going well. Almost 30 votes, that's quite a lot for our small community. More than any previous votes.

It could be through a dedicated app or included in the research options, I don't know which solution is preferable. As it is very crosswiki, it may be a separate app. As I am not familiar with the way this kind of technology work, I am afraid I can't be more specific.

The Wiktionary communities could be convinced to switch to 1-lexeme-per-page model in order to integrate better with Wikidata and the app.

I support the idea of experimenting a separate Wikibase instance for Wiktionaries texts.

Discussions on Wiktionaries could be quite straighforward, communities are small and technical issues are usually solved by everyone following a trusted colleague saying it's good. Well, and a development dedicated to Wiktionaries by your team can't be bad.

Hi @GoranSMilovanovic!
Great job here! I am keeping an eye on your project and I am very please to see it going out! As part as the writers of French Wiktionary Actualités, the monthly journal for lexico-lovers, I'll be please to write something about this tool in August edition (to be out in September 1st). Or maybe Pamputt will write it :)
It will be here: https://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionnaire:Actualités/Brouillon
It is written in French first and then translated to English. At some point, I'll be happy to ping you to proof-read our article. Let us know the best timing for you to have a press announcement!

Hi Whatamidoing,

It is different than Watchlist because it will not be ordered chronologically and will not be based on changes. Once a user pick a word for this log sheet, it can be organized manually in dot lists to help memorization. It is not aimed to help people to go back later to improve the content or to track changes but as a list of word to remember.

It seems my rational was not clear. This request is to put back the link "wikicode editor" for not registered users in French Wiktionary. We do not ask for Visual Editor to be remove, but only to display two buttons instead of one. Please, have a try, go to Wiktionary and try to modify a page with VisualEditor: it's not efficient. This feature is not adapted to this project. That's pretty easy to get.

I didn't realized I changed the direction of this idea. It was already clear when it was proposed to the Community Wishlist Survey in 2016: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/2016_Community_Wishlist_Survey/Categories/Wiktionary#CW2016-R097

There is also a consensus in French Wiktionary to invite IABot too :)

We recently made an editathon and the absence of "edit with wikicode" is still a problem. VisualEditor is still useless for Wiktionary, except to add pictures. For any other aspects, VE doesn't provide any help. Can you please add the link for IP?
