Commons:WMF support for Commons" is offered for translation, and good-intention but non-translator users would be tripped to produce mistakes via MinT.

Here is a case to examine;
(en) Original en thread as: ''[[$1|Add your name]], with $code, i.e. 4 tildes, as well as any comment you want to make.'';
(ja) MinT output en-ja as: "$1 の 名前 を 追加 し,$ コード,すなわち 4 の 字符,および 意見 を 提出 する こと が でき ます. " ほら.
In the output:

• when MinT engine fails to analize the composition of the text in en, it splits each Japanese term (名前/追加/コード/すなわち/字符/および/意見/提出/する/こと/でき/ます) by inserting half-width space;
• no Japanese punctuation is used anytime; English half-width punctuation is applied;
• wiki mark up is ignored;
  • (a) italics _''_ is made into half width quotation mark _"_;
  • (b) square brackets as well as a bar are ignored so that link is destroyed;
  • (c) codes such as _$code_ is changed into _$ コード_, here again splitting dollar mark from the following part, on the contrary, it outputs $1 as $1;
  • (d) the letters following the dollar mark (code) is passed to translation and output in double byte ja word (コード);
• adds a ja word (ほら) which does not correspond to the translation original.

Fyi, at jawiki Yuukin0248 tested positive the same issue with zh, another double-byte language.

@Trizek, Hi, came from jawiki, where do you have the list of those projects affected? Does “primary database” refer to whatever wikimedia server hosts? I wish to convey to Japanese speakers on wikipedia if I may.

I was editing a page, and encountered an edit conflict 1 second after my own edit.

• iPad mini2 (ME280J/A); iOS12.4.5; Wi-if, keyboard via BlueTooth, Japanese language, desktop view;
• on jawp, article Note Page. Did not save edit conflict at https://ja.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=ノート:オーフス&oldid=76905530.
• might have pushed “Publish” button twice, as wifi is slower. FYI, I usually work on Windows PC, and on iPad I have just started to learn how to maneuver.

This is what I get by “メディアを再生する" or running the video.

1. before running the video,
   
2. when tap on the “メディアを再生する" button, download screen shows.
   
3. then Safari tries to save media
   
4. I trued to copy that file name and it is as https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8d/Wikimania_2017_-_Unifying_editing_and_visual_diffs.webm.

Is the video link causing the situation? I don’t think its a buffer trouble on iPhone, or do we?
