How long this will take to implement? Will it ever be done or not? Community has resolved to implement this long ago. FUP is in place. What else is needed?

I really can't figure out why this task is taking so long. I am an admin in both Kannada and Tulu Wikipedias. FUP was drafted by us for Kannada Wikipedia first. Local file uploading was enabled for Kannada Wikipedia. Then the same kind of policies were drafted by Tulu community. I thought local file upload will be enabled very soon for Tulu also similarly. But it is simply dragging for Tulu for no reason. We made sure that everything needed is in place before putting this request.

This task is still pending. May I know the reason?

May I know why the priority was changed from Normal to Low? We have been waiting this to be implemented for quite sometime now. Please let us know what needs to be done from our end to speed up the process. AFAIK, there is no action pending from our side.

Indian copyright law has been considered. It is linked from the FUP page

Yes. The fair use policy (non-free content) has been created and the page is here - https://kn.wikipedia.org/s/1iqz. It defines many parameters related to fair use policy and local uploading of images, audio and video files. This page is linked to the main page where all policies are listed here - https://kn.wikipedia.org/s/1iqv

Ideally there should be online transliteration between Devanagari and Kannada scripts. There should be an option to select the script and the transliteration should happen on-the-fly. I can see there is an option in Serbian Wikipedia wherein one can select the script to be used. How can we do something similar for Konkani Wikipedia wherein the user is given an option to select Devanagari or Kannada script?
