Confirmed with @greg we can proceed with this clarification and scoping to the donate page. Will be discussed with the broader team at next standup.
@ppenloglou - is this something you can can help us scope and make a better user experience?

Ads Cookies (if source = Google, LinkedIn, etc.) The Ads Cookie sends an anonymized signal back to our advertising partners and is required to inform Wikimedia Foundation advertising campaign reporting. We've been told that we need to have this cookie upon first page visit, like with https://www.wikimedia.de/
Wikimedia Deutschland - Wissen muss frei zugänglich sein!
Stacy Burnett: are you asking for a click to accept the cookie if it is on wikimediafoundation.org and/or xxx.wikimediafoundation.org?
Kevin Hill: We're trying to identify the best domain and consent acquisition placement, that will facilitate 3rd party platform advertising.
Stacy Burnett: If a person comes from http://wikimediafoundation.org and does NOT consent, then they would need a popup or banner asking them to change their mind and consent to the cookie when getting to the xxx.wikimediafoundation.org page. If a person is sent a link to xxx.wikimediafoundation.org and bypasses the wikimediafoundation.org page, they would need to be shown the cookie consent, too. TLDR: yes on xxx.wikimediafoundation.org for sure. If there is something on http://wikimediafoundation.org that requires the cookie, that is not DIRECTLY in scope for us - it is more general, and we would benefit from an earlier yes/capture. BUT if someone clicks NO, we would need their consent for xxx.wikimediafoundation.org, and the consent would need to be shown/captured then.
@Eileenmcnaughton - with Joseph out on parental leave early, is there someone else we should talk with about this?

We will need clarification from Legal before implementing.
For #3, are you saying that pending would become a sort of de facto permanent state? There is no trigger to make ACH status "completed?"

Eileen will talk with and she isn't confident givelively is making it into Civi - Elliott wondered if these are manually imported. It doesn't seem that recent events haven't been held yet $$ is coming in - could be bulk donations that haven't been reported to Civi - there are about 6/month.
