I see you claimed this task in January and then mentioned moving to a different task. Are you still planning to work on it? I do not want to duplicate your effort.

Looking at this T427465, it seems the cause is the thumbnail domain migration from upload.wikimedia.org to thumb.wikimedia.org which was enabled on most wikis today. The Wikimedia OCR tool only allows image URLs from upload.wikimedia.org and the beta domain so it now rejects the new thumb.wikimedia.org URLs. The fix would be to add thumb.wikimedia.org to the allowed image domains in the OCR tool.

Thanks @Samwilson for cleaning up all the old patches on this task. This was my first contribution to the project and I learned a lot from it. Your right Bulk OCR now shows all its success and failure feedback inside the new dialog window (T433033, T433174, T433182) so the notification fix in this patch is no longer needed. I will abandon it.

Thanks @Samwilson . My thinking this will reduce faulty OCRed texts being inserted into the wiki But edit in sequence is already design for it. I agree with you. let keep Bulk OCR focused on getting the text into the pages and leave editing to Edit in Sequence. I will abandon this patch and the cancel-warning patch T433183 and keep the dialog as a read-only review before saving. Thanks for the guidance!
