I’ve implemented the patch to preserve row background colors as described. I see there’s discussion about whether this applies to current pages. I’m happy to adjust or abandon the patch if maintainers decide the task is no longer needed. Also, I’d appreciate feedback on the patch itself, if it’s correct as is or if any improvements are recommended.
