Thanks for the comment, @Mvolz! It looks like NYT citations are working again as of yesterday -- they did not work in the morning but did in the afternoon. I'll close the ticket.

Do we have any stats on how often the foundation and wikimedia shortlinks have been used? Could we/would it be advisable to use a bot to convert them to wmf and usurp one?

@Whatamidoing-WMF I've just switched it off. A quick test shows that it does seem to fix the problem! Will try to test more soon.

We do manually approve these links pretty much by default, so we could just trash most of them instead if they bother people.
Hey @Volker_E, I've just edited the MailChimp campaigns to use https versions of the customized feeds. I *think* that fixes the post links (we'll see tomorrow!), but from a look at one of the feeds it looks like images are still in http?

@Volker_E sorry for the delay on this. Our default license is CC BY-SA, but I assume that's not the norm for Github. I'm fine with whichever license you think is best.
