Members of the Polish Wikipedia community have also complained about the styling of these destructive buttons. Link to our Village Pump: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Kawiarenka/Kwestie_techniczne#Stresuj%C4%85ca_ramka_ka%C5%BC%C4%85ca_wycofa%C4%87_przejrzenie

any updates?

(not sure in which ticket I should continue)

Oh, I see it is being discussed in T373690.
I checked again if I can still reproduce it and I can. I tested it on Windows 11, on Firefox 130 (private mode, turned all extensions off), Microsoft Edge 129 and Chrome 129. In all three cases these glitches appeared, on pl.wikipedia, fr.wikipedia and tr.wikipedia.

seems like a duplicate of T374214.

After this fix, when the edit summary is longer than one line, the 'current' marker appears on a new line instead of aligning next to the summary, regardless of available space. Not sure if it's desired behavior though.

@theprotonade thank you for your willingness to investigate and to solve this problem. Problem still exists, I just recreated it again.

Hello @ppelberg, I think the sooner the better :-) We've already decided to have this tool enabled and I don't see any reason to postpone it. Next Tuesday sounds good.

+1. Sometimes it can look really terrible. Example from plwiki:

The bold from the message box spills(?) into the diff view.
@Dogu: not sure what does the message says on Repakr's screenshot, but the same or similar issue exists in plwiki as well.
[[T370943]] got closed as duplicate; however after the changes, the issue still exists (Wikipedia logo goes over the diff info box) so it should be reopened.

On Polish Wikipedia it looks awful as well.

I'm not that well-versed in the vector graphics, so pardon my lack of knowledge. I'd say it is about rendering the SVG files themselves. Check out the old version of the file, before Nux's fixes:

as there's no progress: wouldn't it be easier to just change the id to something without the additional hyphen, like #mw-prefsection-centralnotice?

@Tgr you cannot un-check the "Web" checkbox in a "Talk page message" row in your Preferences, so that's kind of weird that he receives only this type of notification.
@Tgr no one explicitly wrote that they received any notifications via e-mail therefore I assume that they meant a on-wiki notification. Also I asked one user to check via Special:Notifications when exactly the notifications started to pop up (answer: July 9th), so that's definitely issue with the on-wiki system. Also, one more thing worth mentioning: all of these edits are in the User: or User talk: namespaces.

Two Polish Wikipedia users reported that they receive the same notifications day after day about events that happened years ago. One user reports continuous notifications about the last edit on his talk page (message notification).

Number of other wikis have that group with these rights, including:
and probably some more, so IMO that shouldn't be an issue. However if Legal wants to take a look at it, then yeah, why not?

@Aklapper: so I've read all that discussion and apparently this extension has no assigned owner/maintainer; therefore this bug won't be fixed in the months/years to come, right?
anyone?

@Urbanecm Sorry to bother you again, but I thought that a mere adding of abusefilter-modify-restricted right to the abusefilter group would give the Abuse Filter ability to perform "block" actions. Apparently that's not enough. My fault, I'm sorry.

Re-opening, since in three days time neither Deskana (who has been active here on Phabricator) nor anyone else bothered to reply and provide valid reasons to decline this request.

I am sorry but this is bullshit. I am no longer active on plwiki and wikimedia projects in general but after I saw this I thought I had to write somenthing. Dear @Deskana, why are you SINGLE-HANDEDLY rejecting UNANIMOUS(!!!) CONSENSUS of one of the LARGEST wiki-communities, you, as a WMF employee, were supposed to help with their problems in first place? I assume that you probably see experienced editors and administrators from plwiki who participated in that discussion as ignorant morons who don't know what's best for them and the wiki they edit and take care of daily. BUT YOU KNOW! You have your vision and anyone whose opinion differs from yours will be STRAIGHT OUT IGNORED. Well thank you, dear Deskana, for thinking and making decisions for ourselves! What would've we done without you?!

Alright, everything went back to normal. This task can be closed, I guess.
