Considering this page https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:CampaignEvents is practically empty, we can override this which from your comment above I would interpret to mean deleting it and replacing it with https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/CampaignEvents.

one other field I like in the " Our current list of event/collaboration types - collaboration type" above is the "Other [blank field]" which could also over time give us insight as to what we missed because if we missed a popular event type, we will be able to tell over time because it will be the most filled on the "Other blank field"

yes I agree with you on this as it could help clarify the field(s). I'm not sure myself what the names for the field should be but I do think whatever names we end up with, the "Registration Status" field should be changed automatically to "closed" after the Endtime of the event.
