Thanks for putting the ideas together in this phabricator ticket. I would like to highlight 2 points that i can see having a significant impact in the community's events organizing work:

It would seem that this data is not dynamic. Rather, what you need is a screenshot and you'll have that information at your disposal?

@1339861mzb could you send e an email with a description of the type of data you would be interested to look at? This way we can have a better idea of what is needed.

As we know, the Extension is not in use in most of the wikis anyways, so i think it's better to send the messages now, and i'll deal with blow back if it comes to that.

@MarcoAurelio Could you please help us proceeding with the announcement in all the listed wikis? I think people on the local village pumps might be able to help with the translations once they see it there, rather than waiting for them to come to the Meta page.

The Education team at WMF has invested in and is backing the Programs & Events Dashboard, and has been requesting from education program leaders that they move their programs from the education extension to the P&E Dashboard. As far as i know, most of the education program leaders have found this transition to be very positive. Our team is now finalizing a contract that will ensure stability of and support to this tool. Clearly, the choice has been made and, even though it is not perfect as it stands, the P&E Dashboard is already widely perceived to be the tool of choice.

It is strongly recommended to move all current and future education programs to the Programs & Events Dashboard in order to receive support (and benefit from its great qualities). https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/?locale=en

Just to make sure: are we discussing the Education Extension or the Program & Events Dashboard here? The Education Extension is being deprecated and is not receiving any support at this time.

In the context of the Wikipedia Education Program, badges would be useful as a way to certify students' and teachers' capabilities ("how to read the Wikipedia", "how to edit", "Wikipedia Teacher lvl 1", and so on). This would be an additional motivator for participants to get involved in editing.
