@Wilfredor Can you clarify whether you're referring to a software problem here (i.e. it is impossible to grant permissions to your account, because you get an error), or whether your request for permissions was denied by someone because your account looks weird? As far as we can tell, this weird state should not result in any software problems, so this shouldn't prevent any permissions from being granted. Either way though, we'll probably fix it next week.

When you upload an image to a platform, you typically follow a procedure where you first upload the image and then, only after it has been uploaded, you can add descriptions, tags, or other metadata. This can be inefficient if you have multiple images to manage, as you have to wait for each image (and all images) to upload before entering its information.

I think the simplest way to correct this error is to lower the maximum upload limit to 1 GB for validation.

Apparently it is not a storage problem but in the way the files are unified in a subsequent process, the temporary files are deleted without first confirming that the final destination file is created satisfactorily.

The solution here is to either add the classes used by the widget to the non-inversion selector, or to add the standard mw-no-invert class to the images.

The latter is a much better way to do this. Darkmode should not have to maintain a list of CSS classes by every extension that uses background images.

it would be a big mistake shutdown, it is a repository of RAW images of Featured Pictures in commons. Many RAW images would be lost or no possibility of being accessed from Wikimedia Commons.
