The functionality is present as of September 2024. The monuments without coordinates are listed under a "cumulative" pin located in the map at the coordinates of the lower level administrative unit used by the webapp (currently that is "comune" for Italy, "county" for Ireland)

The functionality was adopted as of late September 2024.
When logging to Commons a check is perfomed about the presence of an e-mail for the wiki account. If check fails the login via the webapp still completes, but users are prompted with a warning message whenever they try to upload a picture in Commons via webapp.
