@STei-WMF the second change is merged.
Would there similarly be an issue with hiding actions that were explicitly marked as bot edits (T18816)? That is, if it becomes possible to pass bot: true in API calls, would this prevent the addition of a hide bot function in Special:Log?
Yes, the notification should arrive after the second change is merged.
Is there anything specific we should report? For example, should we explain that during peak hours, some time may pass between when the permission actually expires and when the notification is received?
I believe that you are right. However, it is possible that for certain permissions there is still benefit in an update a week before the expiration of the permission, for example for ipblock-exempt, for which users can certainly benefit from an early notification. Perhaps it will be possible to disable it by default, and to enable it only on wikis that will request to renew this. @Leaderboard

+1.
@Pathoschild, Can Synchbot be used for the task?
Hi @Novem_Linguae, I would prefer the discussion to take place in T419623. A related question has already been asked there.

No response from @Vanshika. I'll do it myself.

Hmm, are you sure that right now it's possible to view the IP address of temporary accounts during a read-only period? I haven't checked it just now, but I'm pretty sure that during the recent emergency read-only period, when I tried to display IP addresses, I got an error.
