Hi @Aklapper, I imagined so, I think I've actually applied for an account on DEV, but it seems I have to do a lot of reading to get there; it took me already quite some time to wrap this up for you (all); for an occasional contributor like me I think that's enough for now. At least there's this message here, so people don't waste time - guess it's just a matter of git clone; git diff and apply the diff on your gerrit clone. I'll leave that to you.

Just to let you know that I've wrapped wsd's patch to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MagicalLinkers
It has been developed against MW 1.31. I think that with this extension, the core functionality can be removed.
